After watching an interview in which someone had claimed they should °shoot at” small boats carrying migrants, Neelima, a new writer, was left wondering about the significance of boats and how they’re viewed alongside Britain’s colonial history. Neelima wrote Sail as a response to the media frenzy surrounding anti-immigration ideologies alongside the current political unrest in the UK and instead humanises those searching for a safer land.
