Why MMA UK?
Malayali Medical Association (UK) provides the platform for the Doctors and Dentists of Kerala origin in United Kingdom to foster social and cultural bonds among the members and families. The humble beginnings of Malayali Medical Association goes back to nearly 4 decades. Starting with a handful of members, the association is now a stronghold of 500 members spreading across UK.
The Early Days
MMA’s early members worked as a close knit family, they cared for each other and valued the traditions, culture and heritage of India, Kerala in particular. Initial meetings were held at the houses of the members, which then extended to the private halls and hotels. Over the years the association has grown from strength to strength, its members and the family members were the reason behind its growth..
Our Commitment
MMA has emphasised its commitment to the education, welfare and culture of Malayali doctors and dentists in the UK. It continues to grow as the only organisation in the UK where all Malayali doctors can unite under one umbrella, free of any allegiance to alma mater, region or religion.
MMA also acknowledges and respects all other medical associations from Kerala and strongly believes that working closely with all associations is a vital need of the moment.
